Contemporary visual artist living in Perth Western Australia.
My recent work explores the idea of the palimpsest landscape as evocation. Mono printing is ideally suited to this deliberate overwriting of images with each layer altering the previous state. There is something very seductive about this process with its potential for serendipitous mark making, and simultaneous creation and denial of form. It speaks of personal and collective memory - faint, forgotten or altered recollections.
I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land where I work and live, the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation, and pay my respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. I celebrate the continuing culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of all communities who also work and live on this land.
